On October 7th, 2023, terrorists from Hamas—which is sworn to the destruction of Israel—infiltrated Israel and brutally murdered over 1,200 people. Many victims were raped, tortured and/or beheaded. Additionally, over 240 innocent people were taken hostage, including children, women, men, and elderly people from more than a dozen nations. According to the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, the scale of the atrocity relative to the overall population would be equivalent to the murder of over 40,000 U.S. citizens on a single day - or 13 September 11th-style attacks.
Following the October 7th massacre, a wave of antisemitic protests erupted worldwide; with chants to eradicate Jews from the entire land of Israel ("From the River to the Sea") and violent uprisings against Jews worldwide ("Globalize the Intifada"). Jewish students were assaulted on U.S. college campuses and people associated with Israel were targeted, including a young couple who were fatally shot outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington D.C. in May 2025. In June 2025, six people were set on fire at a pro-Israel walk in Boulder, Colorado. Subsequently, in November 2025, New York City elected a Mayor who refuses to condemn antisemitic chants.
Today there are only 15 million Jews in the world (less than prior to the Holocaust) and over half of them live in Israel. At a time of rising antisemitism both in the United States and abroad, we believe it is imperative to support the world’s only Jewish nation.
